AMLY: Can you tell us a little about how and why your design company came to be and how it has evolved.
Pam: I am Photographer and I worked as a fashion/fine art photographer for years and then decided that I wanted to use my photographs on different mediums. This led me to being a print designer using fabric. I started off doing interiors and then progressed into lifestyle where I have been for the last 7 years.
AMLY: What have been the biggest challenges you have faced as a woman in business?
Pam: Being taken seriously and having to combat moments of self doubt and lack of confidence.
AMLY: Where on your travels have you found the greatest inspiration?
Pam: I love photographing flowers/petals on water, seeing little glints of sunlight interspersed with water and their reflections. So travel to Morocco, Maldives and Mauritius have been filled with wanderlust treasures.
AMLY: Who are your art/design or more general icons/heroes/heroines in life?
Pam: I love Helmut Newton and Peter Beard> In the Present day I am very inspired by the photographer Maryam Eisler, she is an amazing photographer and super lovely person, whom I have had the pleasure to meet a few times.
AMLY: Who would be the person you would most love to see wearing your designs?
Pam: Any Woman who loves colour and pattern, who isn’t afraid to stand out.
AMLY: As a designer what are the most important things you look for when you are buying for yourself?
Pam: Whats going to make me feel confidence and sexy? I am going to sweat in this and who is the person behind the brand.
AMLY: How do you incorporate well-being/self care practices into your everyday life.
Pam: I try and take 1 hr a day to do something for me, wether thats grabbing a coffee and going for a walk or listening to music and dancing around my kitchen to let off steam.
AMLY: What advice would you give your children that you wish you had been given when you were younger (life, style and or beauty!)
Pam: It doesn’t matter what it says on paper, it's what is inside that counts.
AMLY: What are your favourite AMLY products and how do you use them in your beauty rituals?
